Pumpkin Pie with Pecan Praline topping

- Filling
- 2 cups pumpkin purée
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups cold heavy cream
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Topping
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup very coarsely chopped pecans (some halved pecan pieces are fine)
Mushroom Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Melt the butter and heat the oil in a pan over medium heat
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon thyme, chopped
- 1/4 cup white wine or broth
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon truffle oil (optional)
- 1 cup fontina or gruyere, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano, grated
- 4 slices bread
- 2 tablespoon butter
Ultimate Ginger Cookies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup unsulfured molasses
- 1 extra-large egg, at room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups chopped crystallized ginger (6 ounces)
- Granulated sugar, for rolling the cookies
Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs - Barefoot Contessa

Place the eggs in a pot large enough to hold them in a single layer
- 8 extra-large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons good mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh chives, plus extra for garnish
- 4 ounces good smoked salmon, minced
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt (DON'T ADD THE SALT if salmon is salty)
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 ounces salmon roe
Funeral Potatoes

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees
- 3 baking potatoes (about 2 pounds)
- Canola oil
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 1/4 cup finely chopped chives, plus extra for garnish
- 3 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
- 2 tablespoons grated onion (about 1/2 an onion)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/4 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese, about 4 ounces
- 1 1/4 cups grated Gruyère cheese, or more Cheddar, about 4 ounces.
Crock Pot Cranberry Apple Oatmeal

- 3 Apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/2 C dried cranberries or 2 C fresh
- 1/4 C Brown Sugar (3 T maple syrup)
