Lemon Tart Filling

Place in double boileer, cook untilthick stiring constantly
- 6 eggs beaten well
- 2 cups white sugar
- 3 lemons, juice and rind
- 1/4 lb. butter
Half Hour Pudding

Bake at 325 F for 25 to 30 minutes
- Batter:
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup raisens
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- pinch of salt
- Mix together and put into a butter 8x8" butter dish.
- Sauce:
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. butter
- Mix together and put over batter.
Meringue for 9" pie

Beat egg whites with vanilla and cream of tarter till soft peaks form
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 6 tbsp. sugar
Old Fashioned Sour Cream Drops Mum's

Mix thoroughly together the shortening, sugar and eggs
- 1/2 cup slft shortening
- 11/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup thick sour cream
- 23/4 cups sifted flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
Shortbread Cookies

Beat 10 minutes on mix master (better by hand) Bake 300 F for 25 minutes (too long)
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 2 tbsp. corn starch
- 11/2 cups flour (added slowly)
Jumbo Raisin Cookies

Drop onto slightly greased cookie sheets and bake in preheated 375 F oven for 12 to 15 minutes
- 2 cups raisins
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup shortening or margarine
- 11/2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. salt
- 11/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp.allspice
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes. Cool. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add cooled raisins and juice. Then add mixture of remaining dry ingredients. Add nuts last.
