Ingredients
- High Altitude Directions:
- 1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine (softened)
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Expresso Powder, optional
- 2 cups (12 oz) pkg Peanut Butter Chips
- 1 . Increase flour to 2 cups plus 2 tblsp
- 2 . Decrease baking soda to 3/4 tsp
- 3 . Decease sugar to 1 2/3 cups
- 4 . Add 2 tsp water with flour mixture
- 5 . Bake at 350 degress, 7-8 minutes

Step 1
Cream butter or margarine and sugar in large mixer bowl. Add eggs and vanilla: blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt: blend into creamed mixture. Stir in peanut butter chips.
Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 8-9 minutes. (do not overbake. Cookies will be soft. They will puff during baking, flatten upon cooling.)
Cool on cookie sheet until set, about 1 minute; remove to wire rack to cool completely.
