Ingredients
- 125 g soft butter
- 3 ml vanilla essence
- 125 ml brown sugar
- 25 ml honey
- 150 ml cake flour
- pinch of salt
- 2 ml bicarb
- 150 ml wholewheat flour
- 100 ml sunflower seeds, lightly toasted
- approx 30 ml sesame seeds.

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter, vanilla, sugar and honey.
Sift flour with salt and bicarb and mix in.
Add wholewheat flour and sunflower seeds.
Beat well to make a soft dough, then shape into a ball.
Pinch off small pieces and flatten between the palms.
Dip tops in sesame seeds, coating thoroughly.
Place on a greased baking tray, allowing room for spreading.
Bake at 180C for approx 12 min until browned.
Allow to crisp for 1 min before removing to wire rack to cool.
