- 1 (18 1/4-ounce) box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 (14-ounce) package caramels, peeled
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 (6-ounce) package chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare cake mix according to directions, using butter instead of oil. Bake 1/2 of batter in a greased 9x13-inch pan for 15 minutes. In a pan, melt caramels and evaporated milk. Pour over cake; add chocolate chips and nuts. Cover with remaining cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
