Bread and Butter Puddding

Ingredients
- 5 slices of crust -on brioche
- 4 Tbs butter
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup plus 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 5 large egg yolks
- 2 cups heavy cream
- vanilla
- 2 Tbs Irish whiskey

Preparation
Step 1
Spread 1 side of each slice of bread with butter, cut in half diagonally.
In 10 " ovenproof skillet. Spiral the bread, butter side up. Sprinkle with raisins and 1/4 cup sugar.
Preheat oven to 350* Whisk milk and eggs in a small bowl and pour over bread, leave 15 mins to soak.Bake 30 minutes until top is golden.
Make custard .....whisk 1/3 cup sugar and egg yolks in a bowl. Put heavy cream and vanilla into a pan and cook until almost boiling . then add a small amount to custard and continue until it is all whisked together. Pour back in pan a heat until thickened. Mix in whiskey and serve in sauce boat to pour over pudding.
