Ingredients

  • 1 bag butterscotch morsels
  • 1 C peanut butter
  • 8 C rice krispy cereal
  • 1 bag semi-sweet morsels
  • 1 C powdered sugar
  • 1/2 stick softened butter
  • 2 T water

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butterscotch morsels & peanut butter in a large heavy pan, stirring frequently. Stir in cereal, coating cereal completely. Spread half of mixture in 2x13inch pan & set other half aside. Put pan in refrigerator.

Fill large pot half-way with water & melt semi sweet morsels, powdered sugar, butter & water in a double boiler, stirring continuously. Turn burner off once water is boiling so that chocolate does not become too hot and clump together. Spread fudge on top of cereal mixture in pan and then spread the rest of the cereal mixture on top of the fudge. Press lightly into pan and refrigerate for at leat one hour. Cut into squares.
