Ingredients
- 12 oz. uncooked penne pasta (3 1/2 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups half-n-half
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 1/4 tea. dry mustard
- 1/4 tea. ground red pepper
- 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
- 1 cup (4 oz) shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1/2 cup (2 oz) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup (2 oz) shredded American cheese
- 1 1/2 cup soft fresh breadcrumbs
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Step 1
Cook pasta 6 minutes, drain. Spoon into a lightly greased 3 qt. slow cooker. Whisk together half-n-half and next 5 ingredients; stir in cheeses. Stir cheese mixture into pasta. Cover and cook on low 2 hours.,
Stir pasta mixture,. Cover and let stand 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Toss together breadcrumbs and 2 Tbsp. melted butter. Spread crumb mixture on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until toasted. Transfer crumbs to a bowl. Add parsley, and toss well. Sprinkler crumb mixture over pasta mixture. Serve immediately.
