Preparation

Step 1

Thinly slice yellow onion, and mince garlic cloves. Sauté until very tender. Set aside.

Heat same pan to high temperature, and sear the sides of each boneless rib. Remove ribs and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add wine. Scrape remaining food from pan into wine and reduce, about 2-3 minutes.

Add wine to baking dish (9x13), to coat the bottom.

Add 1-2 cups of BBQ sauce and stir in.

Place ribs in mixture in the bottom of the pan, turn to coat.

Place onion and garlic mixture on top of ribs.

Cover dish with tinfoil.

Cook at 350º for 2 hours – turning to coat ribs again at 1 hour.

After 2 hours, take out of oven and remove all sauce in bottom of the pan, trying to keep some of the onion/garlic.

Add as much sauce as you want (we usually add about 4 cups – ½ large jar) of the BBQ sauce. Coat ribs and place onions and garlic back on top. Cook, covered, for another 30-45 minutes.

Remove from oven and eat! Either shred of not, and serve with blue cheese.
