- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Combine flour and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Add flour. Blend on low until combined. Do not overwork. Form dough into a log. Wrap in pastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
On floured surface roll dough out to 1/4" thickness. Cut dough with your favorite cookie cutters. Place cookie onto ungreated cookie sheet. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 12 - 14 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack immediately. Cool completely.
