Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 1/2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix shortening and peanut butter until smoothly blended.

Cream in sugars gradually.

Stir in vanilla and slightly beaten eggs.

Sift together dry ingr. and add to creamed mixture in 3 portions, mixing thoroughly.

Form dough in 1" balls.

Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Press balls down with floured fork so that ridges remain in dough.

Bake 375 for about 10 minutes.
