Ingredients

  • 6 slices of Bacon cut in 1/2 inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp. drippings
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. vinegar

Step 1

Fry bacon until almost crisp. Drain and reserve. Drain off all but 2 tbsp of drippings. Add 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cornstarch and salt to skillet with drippings. Stir cook on low for about 3 minutes. Combine water and vinegar. Add to skillet, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add bacon.

Serve hot over spinach that is topped with sliced hard boiled eggs.
