Italian Sausage and Rigatoni Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Italian sausage
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 cups spaghetti sauce (homemade is best)
  • 4 cups rigatoni, cooked
  • 2 cups Kraft Four Cheese Italiano shredded
  • cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375. In a skillet, brown sausage in oil over medium heat. Drain and cut into cubes. Place in a large saucepan with mushrooms and the green pepper. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Prepare rigatoni as to package directions. Drain. Add pasta to the sauce mixture and toss until coated. Spoon ½ of the rigatoni mixture into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Top with 1 cup of the shredded cheese and ½ cup of the parmesan cheese. Repeat layer with the remaining rigatoni mixture, remaining shredded cheese and remaining parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
