Pizza Bread Sticks

Ingredients

• 1 10 ounce package instant pizza dough
• 4 cups of vegetable oil for frying
• 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
• 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/4 teaspoon basil
• 1/4 teaspoon caraway seed
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Preparation

Step 1

preheat oven to 425 degrees
unroll dough onto dough board
cut the dough into half
then with each half cut into dough pieces that measure
about 1 and 1/2 inches wide
should end up with at least 20 pieces
place on cookie sheet about 1/2 inch apart
bake in the oven 3 minutes
Heat up oil the 350 degrees
fry each stick for about 1 minute per side do not over
crowd in the oil should be medium to dark golden brown
drain on paper towels
now arrange the sticks on the cookie sheet again
lined with foil
turn broiler on
sprinkle each stick with
mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese,
in seperate bowl combine oregano, basil, caraway seeds, and garlic salt sprinkle over the cheese sticks
broil for about 2 minutes or until golden brown
this can also be topped with 3 ounces of chopped pepperoi or 3 ounces of italian sausage
meat should be over the top of the seasoning
