Ingredients
- 1 cup flour sifted
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sal
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup whole kernel corn
- Fat for frying

Step 1
Sift flour a second time with baking powder, sugar and salt. Add egg, milk and corn. Stir until blended. Drop batter into fat a teaspoon at a time. Maintain fat at 350 degrees and fry until golden brown, turning once with a spoon to cook evenly. Remove fritters from fat and drain on paper towels. Serve hot on a warm platter. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar before serving.
