Ingredients

  • 4 c. chopped purple cabbage
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 peeled and chopped apples
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • Measure these ingredients into saucepan. Cover and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain well.
  • 1/4 c. cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. butter or margerine
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
