Ingredients

  • Orange glaze:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cups milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. orange zest
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/4-1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325.

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and continue mixing. Mix in milk. Whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder; add to liquids. Add orange zest and orange juice. Mix well.

On low speed add flour mixture.

Spray a 9x5" loaf pan generously. Pour batter into pan. Tap pan to release air bubbles. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Cool and remove from pan.

Whisk orange juice and powdered sugar to desired consistency and pour over cake. (Can poke holes in cake so glaze will seep in.)
