Ingredients
- 2 c. scalded milk (480 g.)
- 2 pkgs. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water (116 g.)
- 1/2 c. shortening cut up
- 3/4 c. sugar (150 g.)
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 t. salt
- 8 1/2 c. flour (565 g.)

Preparation
Step 1
Scald 2 c. milk.
Dissolve yeast in ½ c. warm water.
Cut up ½ c. shortening or oleo in bowl.
Add scalded milk; add sugar; add 2 beaten eggs; add 1 t. salt, add dissolved yeast.
Blend in 8 c. flour (add ½ c. flour if needed).
Knead 10 min. Let rise 30 to 45 min.
Punch down and let rise again.
Form into rolls.
Can refrigerate several days.
Bake at 350º. 2½ 9 X 13 pans.
