Olive Garden Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
- 2 c. heavy cream
- 1/8 tsp. Garlic powder (or more)
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- 12 oz. Fettuccine pasta (or your choice)
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Chicken breasts cut in strips and browned with garlic powder

Step 1
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add cream, garlic powder, & pepper & simmer for 10 to 12 min. or until thick.
At same time, bring 4 to 6 qts. Of water to a boil & add pasta.
When alfredo sauce has reached your desired consistency, stir in Parmesan cheese.
When pasta is cooked, drain it. Serve pasta on plates with Alfredo sauce poured over top.
You can add chicken or whatever you wish. I added more garlic powder and made a butter and flour paste to thicken (like for creamed chicken). Cut chicken in strips, season with garlic powder and brown until done.
