Ingredients
- Optional:
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk (add 1 tbsp. vinegar to milk)
- 2 very ripe banana
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts Or
- 1/2 c. currants or raisins
- Banana Frosting
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 very ripe banana
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. powdered sugar
- Milk

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients and mix well for 2 minutes. Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
Combine butter, banana, juice and vanilla. Blend in powdered sugar. Add milk if necessary for good spreading consistency.
