Ingredients
- 1/3 C bulgur
- 1 t chopped garlic
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 - 398 mL can chick peas, drained
- 1/2 C bread crumbs
- 2 T lemon juice
- 1 t ground cumin
- 1/4 t each salt and pepper
- dash hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 C fresh chopped parsley
- Pita bread, tzatziki, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce for garnish.

Preparation
Step 1
Boil water and pour over bulgur. Cover and let soak for 20-30 minutes. Drain.
In food processor, add garlic, bulgur, chick peas, onion, bread crumbs, lemon juice, spices and parsley. Puree until smooth.
Scoop out to make 12-18 patties and place on greased baking sheet. Mixture will be very sticky.
Spray falafel patties with non-stick spray. Bake at 400 F for 10 minutes. Turn patties and bake for 10 minutes more.
Serve with sauce and condiments in pita bread.
