Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. Frank’s Original Red Hot Pepper
  • Sauce
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. coarse-ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 chicken fillets & buns
  • Mayo, lettuce (& tomato if desired)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat 6-8 c. of oil in deep fryer to 350°.
Combine pepper sauce & water in shallow bowl.
Combine flour, salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper, onion powder, paprika, & garlic powder in shallow bowl.
Pound each chicken fillet until ⅜” thick. Trim if necessary to fit on bun.
Working with one fillet at a time, coat each piece with flour, then dredge in diluted pepper sauce. Coat chicken once again with flour mixture. Set aside until all chicken is coated. Fry fillets for 8 to 12 or until light brown & crispy. Grill bun. Add toppings of mayo, lettuce, &/or tomato
