Banana Fritters

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup water
- 4 firm bananas
- 3 cups vegetable oil
- vanilla ice cream

Step 1
Combine 1 cup of flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Gradually blend in water, beating with a whisk until smooth. Peel bananas, and cut them into 3 parts each (12 pieces total). Coat bananas lightly with the remaining 1/2 cup of flour. Dip bananas into batter. Heat oil over medium high heat until it reaches approximately 375 degrees. Dip bananas in hot oil for 3-5 minutes, or until slightly brown. Serve with ice cream.
