KFC Green Beans

Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh string-less string beans
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper[3]
- 1/2 cup water[4]
- 1 tsp. MSG (optional)
- 1/4 cup ham chunks or Bacon[5](optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Place green beans in a colander, then rise with water.
Break off the ends of each green bean, then break into 1 1/2 to 2 inch segments.
Dice onion and red bell pepper.[8]
Place green beans, onions, red bell pepper garlic powder, black pepper, msg, water and ham chunks into your pressure cooker.
Close the lid and secure as noted in your pressure cooker's instruction manual and place the pressure release valve on top.
Set the pressure cooker to high.
Turn on the high heat and allow the pressure to rise.
Once your pressure cooker starts letting off steam, reduce the heat to medium and set your timer for 20 minutes. Your cooking time may vary based on your cooker. Beans should be slightly soft when ready.[9]
Remove your pressure cooker from the heat and remove the release valve carefully.[10]
Taste your beans to see if additional salt is required, then serve.
