Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb spaghetti
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 8 oz. Ricotta
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • zest of 1 large orange
  • cinnamon for topping

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Butter an 8" x 11.5" oven-proof glass baking dish

Cook spaghetti to al dente; rinse with cold water and drain. Let spaghetti cool completely.

In a large bowl, mix cooled spaghetti, beaten eggs, milk, Ricotta, sugar, orange zest and vanilla together.

Pour mixture into buttered baking dish, and sprinkle the top with cinnamon.

Bake for 1 hour, or until top is lightly browned, and a knife comes out clean when inserted into the center.

Pastieri is sliced as you would brownies, and may be served warm or cold.
