Ingredients
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
- Red & green candied cherries, halved

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300˚F.
Mix cornstarch, icing sugar and flour together.
Blend in butter with a spoon, mixing until a soft, smooth dough forms.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
(If dough is too soft to handle, cover and chill for about 1 hour.)
Place balls about 1½ inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet, flatten with a lightly floured fork.
Place a candied cherry half in the centre of the cookie.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges are barely lightly browned.
