Preparation

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees. Tear your construction paper into medium sized squares. Add to the blender with the HOT water. Let this sit for about 5 minutes. Pulse the paper and water in the blender for about 30 seconds or until your mixture looks more like pulp. Place a kitchen towel on a plate and lay a paper towel over top (absorb the water). Place the pumpkin shaped cookie cutter on top of the paper towel and begin spooning the mixture into the cookie cutter. Make sure to fill it up all the way to the top. Once you have it smooth, add green for stem and eyes, noise etc. Carefully remove the pumpkin and place it on a baking sheet. Repeat this process until you have the amount of pumpkins you would like. Place the pumkins into the oven and bake for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. When they are finished you will fill no more moisture. You can sign the back with your favorite Halloween’s Day message and give them out to your loved ones!

One thing I did different this time over the hearts I made for valentines day was I used more paper and less water so it was more pulp then watery. Then I put in my colander which took out more water out of it. Less towels used this time.
