Tofu Bread Sticks

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound firm tofu, drained
- 6 tbsp butter, at room temperature
- 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted
- 3 tbsp wheat germ

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 F. Oil a baking sheet.
In a large bowl, beat with a mixer tofu, butter, and baking powder until smooth. Add the flour, sesame seeds, and wheat germ; beat until dough is smooth and elastic, about 2 minutes.
For each breadstick, place 1 heaping tablespoon dough on a work surface. Roll the dough into 5-by-1/2-inch sticks; place 1 inch apart on baking sheet.
Bake until lightly browned, about 35 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
