Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 2" lengths
- 1 (16 oz.) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
- Dressing
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped or 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 large clove garlic, crushed
- 1-1/2 tbsp olive oil

Step 1
Step 1: Steam green beans until tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 2: Place beans, chickpeas and chopped onion in a large bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together all the dressing ingredients. Add dressing to the bean mixture and toss to coat. Chill beans for 1 hour or longer before serving.
