Ingredients

  • 2 cups applesauce (or 2 chopped apples and 1/4 cup apple juice)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Step 1

Put applesauce in blender (or process apples and apple juice until consistency of thick sauce). Blend in oil, honey and eggs. Combine flours, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir together wet and dry ingredients; add nuts. Pour into 2 greased 5-by-9-inch loaf pans and bake at 350 F for 1 hour.
