Ingredients
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
- 1 medium-size onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup finely grated carrot
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup whole wheat bread crumbs or whole wheat cracker crumbs
- 3 tbsp safflower oil

Preparation
Step 1
In a medium-size bowl, combine all ingredients except oil. Blend well. Form mixture into 6 to 8 patties, 1/2-inch thick.
In a large skillet, heat the oil. Cook patties on both sides until browned. Drain on absorbent paper before serving.
If desired, a slice of cheese may be melted on top of each pattie before serving.
