- 4 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 cup sesame flour
- 3/4 cup soy flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup honey
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp water
- Sesame seeds

Step 1
Combine flours and baking powder; set aside. Cream butter and honey; add 3 eggs and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Mix flour and cream mixtures until just combined. Shape a heaping tablespoonful of dough into 6-inch long rope; fold rope in half and twist together with 2 turns. Repeat until all dough is used. In small bowl, whisk remaining egg with water. Brush each cookie with egg mixture; dip, egg side down, into a quantity of sesame seeds. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool completely on a rack. Store in an airtight container.
