  • 1 cup soft shortening (half butter)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup ground blanched almonds
  • 1 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together thoroughly: shortening (half butter), sugar and almonds. Sift together and work in: flour and salt. Chill dough.

Form into pencil thick crescents 2 1/2 inches long. Bake 15 minutes 325 F on ungreased cookie sheet. Cool on cookie sheet. While slightly warm, carefully dip in 1 cup powdered sugar plus 1 tsp cinnamon mixed together.
