- 16 wooden or metal skewers
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1-inch strips
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 4 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preheat the oven to 350°F. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
Thread one chicken strip onto each skewer.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; mix well. Coat the chicken with the mixture and place on a rimmed baking sheet that has been lined with aluminum foil and coated with nonstick vegetable spray. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked and the juices run clear, turning halfway through the baking. Serve immediately.
