Ingredients

  • 1 LB soft butter
  • 2 TB Dijon mustard
  • 2 TB thyme leaves (fresh)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 lb blue cheese
  • 1 french baguette (for appetizer)

Preparation

Step 1

Place butter into bowl of mixer. Using paddle attachment, beat the butter in the bowl.

Add the cheese to the bowl and beat until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and beat until combined

If making appetizer:

Slice baguette. Spread butter compound generously onto slices. Broil in oven until golden brown and serve!


To make log if using as compound butter (for steaks, etc):

Place butter on parchment paper. Fold paper in half covering butter. Then take baking/cookie tray and push against butter to form a log.

Freeze then slice as needed.
