I grew up with these little tarts at Christmas time and it's still my favorite Christmas treat. They are so simple!

Make 1 ½ batch filling for amount of crust recipe.

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • ½ c butter
  • 1 c flour
  • Mix well and form into 24 balls; chill 1 hour
  • Filling:
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¾ c brown sugar
  • 1 T butter
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 c chopped pecans

Spoon filling into tarts and bake at 325 degrees for 25 mins.
