Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 Tbs. finely chopped crystalized ginger
  • 2 tsp. finely shredded lemon or orange peel
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 10-12 oz. packages ref. buscuits (10 each)

Preparation

Step 1

grease 10" fluted tube pan
in small bowl, combine sugar, gingers, peel (break up clumps)
in another small bowl combine juice and butter
separate buscuits, dip into juice mix, roll in sugar mix
arrange buscuits upright in pan, flat sides together
pour remaining juice mix over
sprinkle with sugar mix

bake at 350 for 35 min. (watch for quick browning - cover with foil for last ten min.)

cool in pan, on rack 1 min.

turn out onto platter, spoon remaining topping over top
serve warm
