Ingredients
- 1 tbsp granulated gelatin
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon and orange juice combined
- 3 egg whites

Step 1
Soak gelatin in cold water, dissolve in boiling watear, add sugar and juice. Strain and cool. When thick enough to hold mark of spoon, beat until frothy. Add egg whites beaten stiff and continue beating until stiff enough to hold its shape. Place in mold if desired and serve with custard sauce.
SAUCE:
2 cups scaled milk
3 egg yolks
1/4 cup brown sugar
salt, flavor with vanilla
Beat eggs, add sugar, salt and then milk stirring constantly. Cook and stir in double boiler over hot, not boiling water until mixture coats the spoon (about 7 or 8 minutes). Chill and add flavoring.
