Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 7-1/2 oz. tomato sauce
  • 10 oz. canned mushroom pieces, drained
  • 12 oz. canned kernel corn, drained (or 1-1/2 cups frozen)
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 8 oz. medium noodles, uncooked
  • 1 cup grated medium cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Heat non-stick frying pan. Add ground beef and onions. Scramble-fry until onion is soft and no pink remains in beef. Drain.

Stir in next 8 ingredients in large bowl. Add ground beef mixture. Stir.

Add noodles. Stir. Turn into ungreased 3 quart casserole. Cover. Bake in 350 oven for 25 minutes. Stir top noodles down. Cover. Bake for 20 minutes until noodles are tender but firm.

Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered for about 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
