Ingredients

  • 2 C heavy cream
  • 1/2 C powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 2 large egg whites
  • Pinch salt
  • Amaretto cookies (crushed)

Preparation

Step 1

Combine cream, sugar, and vanilla, almond extract in large chilled bowl. Beat with hand-held mixer on high until cream holds soft peaks when beaters are lifted.

In a clean bowl, with clean beaters, beat egg whites with salt on low speed until foamy. Gradually increase speed and beat until the whites hold soft peaks. Fold the whites into the whipped cream.

Spoon mixture into goblets or paper cups. Sprinkle with amaretto crumbs. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.
