Ingredients

  • 1/2 c ketchup
  • 1/3 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 c lemon juice, divided
  • 1 t mustard powder
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 3 slices bread, broken into small pieces
  • 1/4 c chopped onion
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 t beef buillon granules

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, 1 t lemon juice and mustard powder. In a separate bowl, combine ground beef, bread, onion, egg, buillon, remaining lemon juice and 1/3 of ketchup mixture. Mix well and place in 5×9 loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Drain excess fat, coat with remaining ketchup mixture and bake for 10 more minutes.
