Ingredients

- 1/2 lb minced beef
- 1/2 lb minced pork
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup single cream
- 1/2 cup light vegetable stock
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 small cold boiled potatoes
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Salt and white pepper
- 1 dash allspice (optional)
- Sauce
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon plain white flour
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1/2 cup single cream
- 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
- Sea salt and white pepper

Meatballs โ add some butter to a frying pan, when the butter is a light brown, add the onion and gently fry until a light golden brown. Remove from the pan, and place into a bowl. Mash the potatoes, mix all the ingredients in until well combined, then season to taste. Shape into large balls, transfer to a floured work surface. Put some butter in a saucepan, add the meatballs and cook.
Sauce โ melt the butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour and whisk while cooking until golden brown. Slowly add the beef stock, followed by the cream. Add the salt, pepper and soy sauce (amount to taste), stir and serve with the meatballs, freshly boiled potatoes in butter and Lingonberry jam.
