Bourbon Balls

These were a big family holiday favorite and were always served at my parents' annual Christmas tree-trimming party.

Ingredients

• 3 cups vanilla wafers, ground
• 1 cup pecans, ground
• 1 cup confectioners sugar
• 3 Tbsp white karo syrup
• 1 1/2 Tbsp cocoa
• 1/2 cup bourbon or rum

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and shape into balls, about 1 inch. Roll in confectioner's sugar.

2. While rolling, the ingredients will stick to your hands. Keep washing your hands which will make the bourbon balls easier to roll.
