Ingredients
- One 9 inch baked pie shell
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 t salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 3 cups milk
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 3 t vanilla
- 1 cup heavy cream

Preparation
Step 1
Beat sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks in a large saucepan until well blended. Stir in milk gradually; stir in chocolate.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Remove from heat - stir in vanilla.
Pour into shell. Put plastic over pie. Refrigerate.
Beat whipped cream and spread over pie.
