Ingredients
- 2-1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1-2/3 cube sugar
- 1-1/4 cup bananas (about 3); mashed
- 2/3 cup nuts; finely chopped
- 2/3 cup Shortening
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 3 egg
- 1-1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1-1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt

Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 13x9x2 inch pan.
Cream shortening and sugar together; add eggs. Add bananas. Add dry
ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Beat on high speed for three
minutes. Pour into pan.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 45 to 50
minutes.
Great served with sour cream banana sauce.
