Pineapple Glaze Sauce for Ham

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water - divided
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons ketchup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed pineapple - undrained
  • 2 1/3 tablespoons corn starch

Preparation

Step 1

1) In saucepan combine 1/4 cup water, 1 cup brown sugar, 4 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce, 4 1/2 teaspoons ketchup, 1 1/2 teaspoons ground mustard and 1 1/2 cups undrained crushed pinapple

2) Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes

3) Combine 2 1/3 tablespoons corn starch with 1/2 cup water and stir until smooth

4) Stir into pineapple mixture and bring to a boil

5) Cook 2 minutes stirring constantly until thickened
