Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 TBs warm water
  • 1 1/2 Tbs yeast( 2pkts )
  • 1 1/2 Tbs salt
  • 8 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 cups(3 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 7 1/2 cups AP flour
  • egg wash (1 egg and 1 Tbs water)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix yeast salt, eggs, honey, melted butter, and water.

Mix in flour until uniformly moist

cover and rest 2 hours room temp

into fridge overnight or bake when chilled

cut off grapefruit sized piece dust with flour

elongate to oval place in buttered 9 X4X3 inch pan

let rest 1 hour 20 minutes

top with egg wash

bake at 350 for 35-49 minutes
