Ingredients
- 2 medium carrots
- 1 medium onion, halved
- 2 medium celery ribs, cut into 1" pieces
- 4 medium potatoes
- 3 lb. whole chicken
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. crushed bay leaves
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1 tsp. dried thyme

Preparation
Step 1
Place carrots, onion, celery, potatoes, and 1/2 c. water in slow cooker. Add whole chicken, and top with remaining ingredients.
Cover. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high 3 1/2 to 5 hours. Remove and arrange on platter before serving.
