  • 2 TBS corn starch
  • 1 TBS vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • pinch of sugar
  • 2 small to medium mushrooms (finely chopped)
  • or 2 TBS dried mushrooms (chopped)

Step 1

In medium saucepan, whisk milk and corn starch until smooth. Whisk in oil, onion powder, salt, pepper, and mushrooms. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring often to prevent sticking.

Equal to 10.75 oz can of cream of mushroom soup.
