Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • warm water
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons onions, chopped
  • 1 cup salsa, mild
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce

Step 1

1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. 2 Grease a 9" loaf pan. 3 In a small bowl, soak bread in warm water. 4 Place beef in large bowl; drain bread and add to beef. 5 Add both onions, salsa, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt and pepper. 6 Mix by hand until well blended. 7 Form into a loaf and place in prepared loaf pan. 8 Bake 1 hour. 9 Drain off excess fat and top with barbeque sauce. 10 Return to oven and bake an additional 15 minutes. 11 Serve and enjoy!
